Stacey & Andy : : Engagement

21 10 2009

Tuesday night was a beautiful night to spend some time with Stacey and Andy shooting their engagement pictures at Ann Morrison Park.  The Fall colors were awesome and we had a blast walking around the park.  Unfortunately, the ending was a little embarrassing…well…for me!  We said our goodbyes in the parking lot and I hopped in my Jeep, turned the key, and…nothing.  Yup, my Jeep was not starting.  So as Stacey and Andy were still driving across the parking lot, I hesitantly called Andy and asked if he had jumper cables, which, unfortunately, he did not.  Luckily, they knew someone who could give me a tow, so we called him and everything was taken care of.  Turns out the battery was just about to die and actually completely died today at the shop.  Thankfully it was just the battery and nothing more serious.  Anyway, Stacey and Andy, you both will have an extra treat waiting for you when you come see your engagement pictures!  Here are just a few shots from our time together.

Susie & Mike : : Engagement

16 10 2009

After a few days of rain, I had beautiful weather to shoot the engagement pictures of an equally beautiful couple last night.  I had found an old abandoned car up in the foothills, so we started there and then moved on up to Table Rock where someone was nice enough to have left a couch for us to use!  We had lots of fun hiking around in the nice yummy light.  It was hard to pick some favorites to post up here because there were so many that I loved, but here are just a few from yesterday’s session.  I can’t wait for their wedding in June!

A successful wedding show!

12 10 2009

A BIG thank you to Roger and Darla Cole from Premier Bride of Idaho for putting on a very successful wedding show at the Boise Centre on the Grove this past weekend!  I met a lot of awesome future brides and grooms, and made a lot of great connections with some wonderful vendors.  To the brides that left their information on my sign-up sheet at my booth, I’ll be contacting you soon to set up a time to get together and talk more about your wedding plans without all of the other distractions.  And to those who didn’t leave their information but took my card and handout, please don’t hesitate to contact me and we’ll get together and chat more too!  Here are just a couple pictures of my booth from the weekend for those that didn’t see my setup.  The beautiful flowers were provided by Bliss.  Thanks ladies!!

Laura & Kelly : : Wedding

4 10 2009

The second wedding from this weekend was quite an adventure.  The weather was polar opposite of my first wedding of the weekend, but just as much fun was had!  For those of you who were not up at Bogus Basin on Saturday, you missed quite the snow storm.  When I got back out to my car to head back home, there was probably close to a foot on my hood and roof!  It snowed off and on while shooting out around the Pioneer Lodge where the ceremony and reception took place.  Thankfully, the snowed slowed down a bit while I was shooting Laura and her bridesmaids (the guys weren’t quite as lucky), but as soon as I got Laura and Kelly alone, the snow fell hard.  The weather cut our shooting time down by quite a bit, but we still came away with some good stuff!  The ceremony was to be held outside, but of course that was moved inside to keep everyone nice and warm (and dry!). Here are a few of my favorites from Saturday.

Angie & Curtis : : Wedding

4 10 2009

The first of two weddings this weekend started with Angie and Curtis.  It was a gorgeous day and we hit downtown for some fun shots before the ceremony, which was held at Capitol City Christian Church.  After the ceremony, everyone headed over to the Linen Building for the reception.  I had a blast that day, so thank you guys for allowing me to be a part of all the fun!  Here are just a couple of my favorites from the day.
