Angie & Curtis : : Engagement

1 09 2009

These two were an absolute riot to hang out with Sunday night!  We spent a little bit of time downtown and then moved on to an area by the Greenbelt.  I had a wonderful evening shooting these two and sharing lots of laughs.  I’m looking forward to their wedding just one short month from now.  Here are just a few from our time together.

Andrea & Alex : : Wedding

31 08 2009

Saturday I had the privilege to capture the wedding of Andrea and Alex.  There was lots of love flowing between both families and it was wonderful to be a part of it all.  The ceremony was held at Zion Lutheran Church in Nampa, followed by the reception at the Sawtooth Winery.  While taking pictures of Andrea and Alex at the winery, lightning and thunder could be seen and heard in the distance, and everyone in attendance was hoping the rain would hold off.  It did not.  Oh wow, it did not!  I should say, for most of the reception, it was just fine, but one bolt of lightning shut the power down briefly, and then the skies opened up.  It poured.  It hailed.  The wind blew, and people ran for cover under the tent and the gazebo.  But the dancing went on!  Here’s hoping that you have beautiful weather on your honeymoon in Jamaica!  Just a small sneak peek from the day…

Kaycee & Travis : : Wedding

16 08 2009

Yesterday’s wedding was absolutely wonderful!  Beautiful weather, beautiful people, and a lot of crazy dancing!  I spent some time with Kaycee and Travis and their wedding party shooting around Julia Davis Park. Then off to the ceremony at Eastwind Community Church followed by the reception at the Banbury Golf Course.  Lots of laughs were shared yesterday and I had a great time.  Thank you both for allowing me to capture your special day.  Here’s a small sneak peek from yesterday.  Enjoy your honeymoon!

Emilie & Nick : : Wedding

19 07 2009

I probably sweat out 20 pounds in the heat yesterday, but it was all well worth it to photograph the wedding of Emilie and Nick at the Idaho Botanical Gardens.  They were such troopers to bear the heat with me, especially the picture on the cliff at the top of the gardens.  It was hot…real hot.  But we made the hike and came away with some great shots. The connection between these two is undeniable.  And Nick’s son Maddox and the two flower girls Bridget and Anni were absolutely adorable!  Thank you for allowing me to capture your beautiful wedding.  Here are just a few of my favorites from the day.

Erin & Kirk : : Wedding Reception

21 06 2009

Last night I had a great time photographing some of Erin and Kirk’s wedding reception. They got married up in Canada where Erin is from at the end of May, and had a reception here in Boise at the Basque Center. Before the actual reception started, I was able to take some shots with them around downtown.

Then the rest of the night was full of surprises! They started their first dance with “God Bless the Broken Road” and then about a minute in, they busted out choreographed dance moves to “Baby Got Back.” That certainly got a reaction out of the crowd! Then everyone at the reception was surprised with some traditional Basque dancing as some of the local dancers put on a wonderful performance. After all of that, the cover band Riff Raff rocked the house as people shook loose on the dance floor. It was a great time. Here are a few of my favorites.
